Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (PCSST) is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the 2025–2026 New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Lighthouse Award.
Out of nearly 700 school districts and charter schools across New Jersey, only nine were recognized for demonstrating measurable progress in educational equity and student achievement. Paterson Charter was honored in the category of Expanding Access to Dual Enrollment, recognizing the school’s commitment to increasing opportunities for students to earn college credits while still in high school.
This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, families, teachers, counselors, and administrators who have worked together to remove barriers and expand access to college-level coursework. Through targeted student support and strategic partnerships, Paterson Charter has successfully increased participation in dual enrollment programs, helping more students prepare for college and future careers.
The Lighthouse Award highlights innovative practices that can serve as models for schools throughout New Jersey. We are proud to be recognized among a select group of schools leading the way in educational excellence and student success.
Congratulations to our entire PCSST community on this outstanding achievement! We look forward to continuing our mission of preparing students for success in college, careers, and beyond.
