Transportation

Bus Transportation for Paterson Residences

Students are required to go through the appropriate application process to determine their eligibility.
Transportation is provided for students living in areas designated by the city of Paterson Board of Education transportation department. Eligibility is determined by Paterson Board of Education Transportation Department. The mileage is determined by the board office:

  • Kindergarten – 8th grade must be 2.0 miles away from school campus
  • 9th – 12th grade must be 2.5 miles away from school campus (please see Bus Tickets)

Students should understand that riding the bus is a privilege contingent upon proper and courteous conduct. Please see our Code of Conduct for details. For students that can walk after the bus drops them off at their stop; please sign the “Liability Release For Unsupervised Drop-Off” and submit to their campus secretary. Students are expected to follow the instructions of the driver and local school. Any student failing to do so may be denied the privilege of riding the bus. The Campus Discipline Coordinator will determine disciplinary action on school buses. Students may not ride buses other than the one to which they are assigned, and they must get on and off the bus at their regularly scheduled stop.

Bus Tickets for Paterson Residences

Students are required to go through the appropriate application process to determine their eligibility. Eligibility is determined by Paterson Board of Education Transportation Department. Eligible High School students will receive NJ Transit passes. Students should understand that riding the bus is a privilege contingent upon proper and courteous conduct (please refer to our Code of Conduct). Students must always wear their ID. Please see the distribution calendar.

Students that Reside out of the City of Paterson

Bus transportation or Bus tickets are NOT provided by PCSST or Paterson Board of Education.
Students may qualify for Aide-in Lieu depending on the mileage from their home to school campus. Please complete every school year in September an official B6T formPlease submit to your campus secretary or our transportation coordinator.
