Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we start on this journey through a new school year together, I would like to welcome you to Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology K-1 Campus. We, as a school have caring and highly certified staff members who are committed to helping your child/children reach their fullest potential.

Here at PCSST K-1 we view parents/guardians as equal partners in providing our students with meaningful educational experiences. I believe it is also important that the students see a positive, and healthy relationship between their parents and the school. I encourage you to become an active participant in our school programs and classroom activities. There are many  ways  to  support  your  child/children;  such  as  volunteering  on  field  trips, helping in the lunchroom, or in one of our many school programs.

Among   the   most   significant   contributions   parents/guardians   can   make   with   their child/children is to read with them at home.  Try your best to have a quiet study space for them with sufficient time to do homework.  As a result of your involvement, your child/children will benefit significantly in their educational learning process. Subsequently, he or she will more than likely demonstrate a positive attitude and behavior toward school and learning.
