As we celebrated Black History Month there were many different activities our students participated in. Every Wednesday we had themed tagged days which included Kente Cloth and Unity Day. Students did a great job representing each week. We also enjoyed a workshop with an African drummer Amos Gabia. Our students also enjoyed a virtual laser show. The show took them on a time-traveling journey through history and shared various accomplishments of affluent African Americans.
On Thursday, September 3, the K–1 Campus held its annual Back-to-School Night. Parents and guardians were welcomed with delicious snacks before visiting their children’s classrooms.
