K-3 STEM Parent Program

The Grades K-3 STEM Parent Night was an engaging and educational event that fostered creativity and critical thinking in young minds. The highlight of the evening was a hands-on activity where students had the opportunity to create popsicle flashlights, guiding them through the engineering design process. Parents were delighted to see their children brainstorm, plan, build, and test their creations, gaining firsthand experience in problem-solving and innovation. Following this exciting activity, students were introduced to Kubo robots, sparking their interest in the world of coding. Through interactive sessions, the youngsters learned the basics of coding by playing with these friendly robots, enhancing their computational thinking skills in a fun and accessible manner. The event not only showcased the importance of STEM education but also provided parents with valuable insights into their child’s learning journey, fostering a collaborative and supportive community around early STEM development.
