Trendsetters

This year we started a new course called Trendsetters. It is a leadership course that is the final tier of a leadership program we are piloting. The courses run from Freshman Seminar, to Peer Leadership to Trendsetters [Mentors].

The course objective is for students to use the leadership skills they have learned in the other courses and apply them to bettering the school community and to also mentor the Freshman Seminar students.

My students wanted to extend their assistance to the other campuses. This was entirely their idea and they wanted to visit be of service where they can. They reached out to the building administrators and proposed the idea of a visit. Today on Wednesday November 29th we visited the K-1 and 2-3 campus.

At the K-1 campus we assisted classes during centers and electives. At the 2-3 campus the Trendsetters planned games to play with the students during their recess. It was an absolutely amazing experience and the Trendsetters can not wait to go back!
