Welcome To PCSST 7-12 PTO

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome each of you and your families 

to the Paterson Charter School for Science & Technology. 

For those who may not know, PTO stands for:  Organization of Parents, Teachers. The PTO’s goal is to help foster a nurturing and caring learning environment through parent involvement. We also promote a school community where teachers and administrators can do have a better relationship with parents through the PTO.  For example: If you’re having a problem reaching a teacher or administrator, have a concern or idea about anything, or a complaint, please reach out to your PTO President or Advisor so we can best advise you on the route to take.

Through fundraising efforts, the PTO is able to provide scholarships, support school activities, fund parent events, help families in need and support the overall school mission.

For the PTO to be effective, it is essential to have parental involvement. Many working parents feel that they cannot be included in the PTO because they cannot come to every meeting or be on campus during the day. There are endless possibilities in ways you can help. Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time, and your talents are truly needed.  Please consider volunteering or just coming to a meeting, it really does make a difference in the lives of our children!
