The theme for this year’s event was “Flowing with Purpose: The Power of Persistent Character.” I’m
excited to share that one of our very own PCSST scholars was selected to be honored. This award
celebrates students who have navigated their journeys with the steady strength of a river—turning
obstacles into momentum and serving as a quiet, purposeful current that strengthens our entire
school community.
Bianca Corrales Duran, a dedicated member of the Nursing Club, has become a pillar of our
community by focusing on vital acts of kindness rather than seeking high-profile roles. Following
the challenges of the pandemic, Bianca founded the Nursing Club to raise awareness for the
profession and inspire her fellow scholars.
Beyond founding the club, Bianca and several members enrolled in dual enrollment courses for
Phlebotomy and Patient Care Tech through William Paterson University. Bianca successfully passed
the state exam in January 2026 and will continue her pursuit of the medical field this fall at Seton
Hall University, where she will major in Biology.
The celebration took place at West Milford High School, located at 67 Highlander Drive, West
Milford, NJ 07480.
