WELCOME!
Thank you for visiting the PCSST Math Department home page.
At PCSST, we are committed to providing the highest quality of instruction to all our students at each level, and we focus on critical thinking and modeling to prepare them for college and the workplace.
In our department as well as others, our teachers work collaboratively to ensure that the best practices of individual teachers are shared among all department members, and we actively seek out new methods to enhance our instruction to make it the best possible learning environment for our students.
The state of NJ requires a minimum of 3 years of Mathematics for high school graduation. The course sequence is Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2 for high school students. The PCSST Mathematics Department provides students multiple opportunities for advanced study besides the state required courses, such as Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Robotics and many Math electives.
If students are interested in further studying of Mathematics, they are strongly advised to develop a plan for their high school math courses in consultation with their parents and guidance counselors. This plan should reflect the student’s aptitude, interests, and post-secondary aspirations for a successful future.
