Spring Book Fair

When the students walked through the library doors and saw shelves and tables filled with new books, they instantly knew that an exciting experience awaited them.
According to Sasha Quinton, president of Children’s Book Groups, “The real magic of the Book Fair is how it blends joy, choice, access, and community into an unforgettable experience. It’s sensory, social, and empowering, allowing kids to discover books they love while surrounded by friends, family, and the encouragement of their teachers. This turns reading into something personal and joyful—and that’s what makes it stick.”
Research from Scholastic indicates that students read more, understand better, and are more likely to continue reading when they have the freedom to choose what they read. Book fairs provide children with the opportunity to select books in an engaging, sensory-rich environment.
