Paterson Charter School for Science & Technology (PCSST) proudly hosted its first annual Gifted & Talented Welcome Night, honoring 91 exceptional Wavemaker scholars from across the district. The event, led by K-12 Gifted & Talented Specialist Yadira Perez, brought families together to celebrate student achievements and learn about the program’s comprehensive approach to nurturing gifted learners. Parents gained insights into the identification process and the problem-based curriculum pathways for K-3 and 4-12 students. The presentation highlighted exciting competition opportunities, including Math Olympiads, the Pulitzer Center Writing Contests, and NJAGC competitions, as well as the Odyssey of the Mind after-school club. Comprehensive resources were shared from the National Association for Gifted Children and the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children, equipping families to support their children’s exceptional potential as PCSST Wavemakers continue their journey of “Empowering Excellence, Inspiring Innovation.”
