Fruit Parfait

In HMH Module 8, students learned about various ways to eat healthy foods. This unit emphasizes the importance of eating locally sourced, nutritious, less-processed foods.

Throughout the unit, students watched videos and read texts on making parfaits, which are low in fat and provide protein and fiber. The 4th-grade students brought the unit to life when they were given fruit, yogurt, and granola for breakfast. The students were very thankful for the experience and enjoyed seeing their reading come to life through a hands-on activity connected to the unit.
