Esperanza Rising

The objective of the class was to create an artifact from the novel Esperanza Rising in order to evaluate the importance of the object to the novel and its connections to the main character.
 
Our students created yarn dolls, rose gardens, blankets and other items that played an important role in the novel. Then, they had to explain why the object was important to the novel and how it was related to the character.
