Cookie Monster Challenge

4-7 Grade NJSLA Cookie Monster Challenge Every Wednesday

Preparation can be sweet! Every Wednesday after advisory, scholars in grades 4–7 take part in the NJSLA Cookie Monster Challenge—a school-wide contest designed to sharpen critical thinking and test-taking skills in a fun, low-pressure way. Alternating weekly between Math and ELA questions, the challenge encourages students to tackle NJSLA-style problems with enthusiasm. One “smart cookie” from each homeroom earns a golden ticket for answering correctly, which they redeem for a cookie from a building administrator at the Cookie Monster bulletin board. Special thanks to our Supervisors, Mrs. Miola (literacy) and Mrs. Chellani (math), for crafting the questions that make this sweet tradition possible!
