Biodomes in Maker Space

20220426_085626

The 7th graders are studying the structure of ecosystems and how to maintain a healthy ecosystem.  Using the Engineering Design Process, we have created a Biodome, which engineers use to study environments.  Our environment contains non-living things such as soil, water, and gravel.  It also includes living things such as the plants that will grow from the seeds that we planted.  Once the seeds grow, we will add crickets and worms (decomposers.)  We will observe and reflect on the ecosystem regularly.  The students are excited to see what happens in their Biodome!
