Attention 2-6 PCSST Parents,
In the State of New Jersey, vaccines are mandated by the law by the Department of Health. Students are required to have certain vaccines by the time they start Kindergarten and upon their 11th birthday. Please refer to the charts on this webpage to view the mandated vaccinations.
If your child dose not receive the state mandated vaccines, your child will NOT be allowed to continue attending school until they have received their vaccinations and the school has received the proper documentation. A no parent no school will be in effect for your child.
Students may only be exempt from state mandated vaccines either through religious exemption or medical exemption.
- For medical exemptions: A signed and stamped doctor’s note is required stating the medical reason as to why your child cannot receive their vaccinations. A new medical letter from your doctor will be required at the start of each school year for as long as your child is unable to receive the vaccinations.
- For religious exemptions: A signed and notarized letter is required stating the religious reason as to why your child cannot receive their vaccinations.
For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out the health office. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation!
