The Garden Club students recently enjoyed a field trip to the NY Botanical Garden, where they had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of plants, flowers, and natural habitats. During the visit, students learned about how different plants grow, the importance of caring for the environment, and the role gardens play in supporting local ecosystems. They were excited to observe nature up close and connect what they have learned in the club to real-life examples.
Students also participated in guided activities that helped them understand planting techniques, composting, and seasonal gardening practices. The experience encouraged teamwork, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for nature. It was a meaningful and educational trip that inspired students to continue caring for plants and the environment both at school and at home.
