On Friday, October 7th, the 2-3 Campus had a Farm to School Assembly led by Mr. DuBose. Mr. DuBose discussed the importance of trying new foods (especially fruits and vegetables) and encouraged students to be able to say, “I tried it” instead of “I don’t like it”. Students and staff volunteered to take part in a blindfolded fruit tasting competition and had a lot of fun. All the students joined in the fun and tried some new fruit too! As part of our Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program sponsored by the NJ Dept. of Agriculture, our students will have a regular variety of fresh fruits and vegetables available to them.
