Student Council Pinning Ceremony

African Drum and Dance

Monday February 1, 2012, in celebration of Black History Month, PCSST was fortunate to have an African Drum and Dance Group perform for the whole school.  The four person African and Drum Troupe combined African drumming, dancing and acrobatics with breathtaking costumes and innovative choreography.  The group shared some of the West African Language, music and dance.  Both our students and faculty volunteered to get on the dance floor and show off some of their talent.   It was both very entertainin... PCSST Lions won against the YCS

The high school basketball team participated in its first game on Monday beating YCS in a thrilling 51-49 overtime victory.  PCSST junior Jose Inoa led the team with 12 points and 18 rebounds.  Senior Jenoy Gallimore scored 11 points and had 7 rebounds, and junior John Ramirez scored 9 points with 3 assists and 6 steals.  Freshman Ne Kquan Williams also put in 8 points and 4 rebounds.  Congratulations to Mr. Rodrigue and Mr. Lucas for coaching the team to our first win in high school athletics! &nb... Spanish Skits

Ms.Andino’s and Mrs. Valdez’s class, 8^th graders were able to work in groups and come up with dialogues in Spanish! The students used vocabulary learned in class. The unit was about ‘La Salud’ (health). The students learned how to describe how they felt physically, talk to a doctor, and ask a pharmacist for a prescription.

Fast Cars

This year’s Physics classes participated in a rubber band, balloon, and mouse trap car building project. We viewed several examples of each type car from the internet to give the students ideas for their own cars. A registration form was handed out to each group of four students requesting the name of their team, type of car they would build, a materials list, and a sketch of what their car would look like, then submitted for approval.

Basketball Tournament

Seven teams took part in the PCSST High School Basketball Tournament organized by the National Honors Society and the PCSST Guidance Department. Each team consisted of three players, including a few teachers. There was a great turn out of spectators, including parents, faculty, and cheering students. All teams played with great enthusiasm and effort.

PCSST is offering parents another tool to help them with their involvement with their children’s education. AES Student Database application is designed parents in mind and it is freely available to all the parents at PCSST.

Tomorrow's Teachers Class visited Love Kids Care II preschool

Wednesday, January 11th and Thursday, January 12, 2012 Mrs. Leach's Tomorrow's Teachers elective class visited Love Kids Care II preschool in Paterson.
